We cannot change the past but we can change our attitude toward it. Uproot guilt and sow forgiveness. Tear out arrogance and seed humility. Exchange love for hate - thereby, making the present comfortable and the future promising.

Individual Therapy
You may have said to yourself, "I should get some help," or "I should talk to someone." Perhaps it has been a while since you felt like yourself.
Maybe you feel numb or bone-crushingly sad.
Maybe you feel like a light switch that's just off, and no matter what you do, you can't turn that switch on. Perhaps your heart and thoughts race, and you have trouble sleeping and eating.
Perhaps because of your feelings, you are isolated and alone. You may not want to talk to your friends about it; you may think they might not understand. Or what if you tried to talk to your family and received advice that didn't help, such as...
"Be Happy!"
"Don't worry so much."
"Just get snap out of it already!"
Individual Therapy, often called psychotherapy or counseling, is a process by which you work one-on-one to explore your feelings, beliefs, or behaviors.
You meet in a safe, caring, and confidential environment to work through challenging concerns or influential memories. You and your therapist work together to identify aspects of your life that you would like to change and better understand within yourself or about others. Thereby setting goals to work toward the desired change together.
Family Therapy
Our families are our greatest treasure. It is the one environment where we hope to find the love, acceptance, and understanding we crave as human beings. When that support is present, it can be a powerful source of strength and encouragement in our lives.
However, there are times when our family system may not be healthy and can start to crumble; whether by conflict, betrayal, illness, loss, addiction, or another stressful situation. It is during these times when a family may need to reach out for assistance from a professional.
Here at Harmony Cousneling Center, LLC, we are committed to drawing upon family strengths to solve problems to help you and your family members reconnect, communicate more effectively, and rebuild the trust that may have become broken.
We help individuals, couples, and families with concerns across the lifespan, from children through older adults. We help our clients to resolve or manage depression, anxiety, child behavior problems, family conflict, grief and loss, and cope with chronic illness or health concerns.
"Daring to set boundaries is about having the courage to love ourselves even if we risk disappointing others."

Couples Therapy
There is a theory that people shouldn't seek out a "healthy" relationship until they have it all together. And that, unless you are pleased with yourself, you should not seek a partnership with another. Well, none of us has it all together. Most of us seek love and a partner to share our lives with. No one enters relationship baggage free", nor is everyone often "happy" with every single aspect of themselves. However, the more you understand yourself, the more capable you will be of helping someone else understand you. In couples therapy, you will become understanding and empathetic to the person you have chosen to partner with.
Sometimes, couples mesh well and get along with one another quickly and can help one another grow. However, at times, unfortunately, that is not always the case, and sometimes our past hurts and experiences create a barrier to expressing love, giving healthy communication, understanding, and compassionate forgiveness for mistakes in relationships. That is when couples therapy can help by assisting you and your partner to see where you have become stuck or lost in the past hurts or pain rather than being able to be the loving and kind partner you wish to be. Couples therapy can assist in providing skills and guidance to create change in your behavior and that of your partner to nurture your relationship. The goal is for couples to grow in trust, love, empathy, forgiveness, and compassion. However, there are times that no matter how much you and your partner try, one or both of you may come to see more clearly, that your relationship is just not going to work. This realization can be pretty sad, painful, and challenging to be a part of. Yet, in time it can be pretty rewarding to see you and your partner learn to communicate more effectively and take a step toward more productive lives.
